Find out what an older adult’s advice for living through a crisis is by interviewing them! The goal of the interview is to collect advice or lessons learned from an older adult who lived through a crisis. After the interview, you can share their advice in writing or upload a video or audio recording or photos of your interview.

By crisis we mean a period of time of intense difficulty, trouble, or danger. Crises can be experienced as negative changes in the security, economic, political, societal, or environmental affairs of an individual, group, community, or whole society. However, we are particularly interested in the older adult’s personal experience of such a crisis.

Before you interview an older adult, please take a look at our CCAP Guide for Interviewing for some good tips on how to elicit in-depth advice or lessons learned from an interviewee.

After the interview, please post what advice the older adult shared with you. Feel free to include as much detail as you like. All responses may be posted to the Read Advice page on this website.
